Around 3 lacs students are expected to take CAT - 09. Out of these around 1000 students will finally get admitted to the top three IIMs i.e. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore. That seems like a pretty small ratio if you are one of those 2,99,000 who do not get selected. But if you are in the top 1000 then the number of aspirants standing behind you does not matter. At CATalyst we prepare our students to be in the top 1000 students across the country. We don't believe in the prevailing notion that to do well in this exam God must have endowed you with a very high level of intelligence, but we do believe that a very high level of care, concentration and focus needs to be put in by you while preparing for CAT.

The primary reason to this is the dynamic nature of the examination. Hence unlike a lot of general exams where good notes and mugging answers are the keys to succeeding, here you have to understand concepts and apply them well. CAT tests your understanding, intuitive or otherwise of different topics. Once you understand this concept you will be one step away from recognizing the importance of hard work from both the teacher's and more importantly from your side.

The CATalyst is a CAT coaching program that has been designed for focused students, our students know that they deserve the best not only in terms of the management institutes they choose, but also with respect to the CAT prep course that they join. If you feel that you do not deserve the best then of course, you must be right. In which case we would advise you to move on, there are lot of other prep courses that you can join.

The CATalyst begins with a five hour preview lecture on Number Systems, Reading Comprehension and DI basics. The objective of this lecture is to get a basic level of comfort established between the faculty and the student. We place a high level of importance on this five hour lecture. This not only forms the basis of the faculty selecting the student for the CATalyst batch but also gives a chance to the student to find out whether he or she feels comfortable with the faculty and wants to be part of this batch. This is followed by selection of the students into the batch and a schedule for the next few weeks.

There are two products offered to prepare you for the CAT:
1. CATalyst Content
2. CATalyst Test Series and Feedback

CATalyst Content is for all students who plan to take the CAT. The course covers developing concepts starting from basics and scheduling. The batches will typically run for 4-5 months starting from January or February 2009. To register for the same do call or email us.
CATalyst Test Series and Feedback is only for CATalyst Content students. It is primarily intended only for those students who remain focused in the process of CAT preparation. This course will be an intensive course starting in September.
